reiki level 1 & 2 Training in Calgary
Next Class November 14 & 15, 2026
Learn Reiki. Practice it. Understand what you're doing.
You don’t need to arrive knowing anything about Reiki.
There are no prerequisites here. You don’t need to be intuitive enough, spiritual enough or even confident enough.
You simply need to be curious and open to learning something new.
Reiki Level 1 & 2 is a small, experiential weekend designed to give you a strong foundation in Reiki, plenty of opportunity to practice, practical resources to take home, and somewhere to come back when the weekend is over.
In this space all questions are welcome.
Not knowing is welcome.
Emotion is welcome.
You may pass when you do not want to share.
You don’t have to receive touch to practice Reiki.
You don’t have to learn the same way as the person beside you.
And you certainly don’t have to perform.
Everyone walks into my classroom as a learner.
That is intentional.
For more than 25 years as an educator, I’ve cared deeply about creating a learning environment where questions are welcome, imperfect practice is part of the process, and every person is encouraged to practice, explore and grow in their own way.
Start where you are. We work from there.
two days. one foundation.

Reiki Level 1
8:30-5:30 pm
Level 1 begins with the foundations of Reiki.
We begin with what Reiki is, its history and principles, grounding, chakras, hand positions, consent, self-Reiki and the basic flow of a Reiki session.
You’ll receive your Level 1 Reiki attunement. This is the foundation that connects you to Reiki and allows you to begin working with Reiki energy yourself.
Then we practice.
You’ll have the opportunity to both give and receive Reiki, ask questions as they arise, and begin experiencing what Reiki feels like for you.
Reiki Level 2
8:30-5:30 pm
Level 2 builds on that foundation.
Here we introduce the Reiki symbols, their traditional uses and distance Reiki.
You’ll receive your Level 2 Reiki attunement, deepening your connection with Reiki and attuning you to the Level 2 symbols.
You’ll continue giving and receiving Reiki while also exploring optional tools such as crystals, pendulums, essential oils, chakra sprays, feathers and cards.
The tools can support your practice.
They are never required to practice Reiki.
WHAT YOU’LL LEAVE WITH
By the end of the two-day training, you won’t be expected to have everything memorized.
You will leave with a strong foundation, real hands-on experience, practical resources to support you, and a clear understanding of how to keep building your confidence.
You’ll leave knowing how to:
Ground yourself before practicing Reiki
Prepare a comfortable Reiki space
Obtain appropriate permission
Practice giving Reiki to yourself and others
Work through Reiki hand positions for self and others
Discover and work with the Level 2 symbols and understand their traditional uses
Move through an entire Reiki session from beginning to end
Support the person receiving Reiki before, during and after a session
Send distance Reiki to others
Use optional tools including crystals, crystal grids, essential oils, pendulums and cards
Close a session and reset your space
Use your manual and reference materials when you need to
Continue practicing so your confidence grows through experience
You’ll also leave with your in-depth Reiki Level 1 & 2 manual, additional handouts, chakra reference materials and your very own chakra crystal set to support your continued practice.
My intention is that you leave the weekend feeling ready to use what you’ve learned and say to yourself:
“I know how to use Reiki for myself and make it part of my everyday life.”
“I know how to share Reiki with another person in a way that feels comfortable, respectful and clear for both of us.”
“I understand how and when to use the Level 2 symbols, including distance Reiki.”
“I know how to get myself grounded, create a comfortable space and let a Reiki session unfold without second-guessing myself.”
“I know how to keep practicing, where to look when I forget something and where to turn when new questions come up.”
You have somewhere to come back to
Your relationship with Reiki does not end when the class does.
Confidence comes from using what you’ve learned.
Students are welcome to join us for the free monthly Reiki Shares, where Reiki-attuned practitioners come together to practice, receive Reiki, ask questions, learn from one another and continue building confidence.
Quick follow-up questions after class are always welcome.
When something needs a deeper conversation, individual review or more personalized support, Reiki mentoring is available as well.
You don’t have to figure everything out alone.
In Their Own Words
“The experience I have had in the last few days has been indescribable. The vulnerability, openness, trust, energy and connection is so powerful. It’s a completely judgement free space, I feel so comfortable, safe and able to be. I’ve experienced such a change and transition. It has changed me forever. I finally feel I have so much love and gratitude for ME. Thank you.”
— cassie m, calgary, AB
“This is not just a healing experience, but life changing. I no longer live in the past, or the future. Just the ‘now’.”
— Shawna S, Moose Jaw, SK
“I came in to support my wife, and was slightly skeptical when we started. After the first day, my skepticism was replaced by a desire to learn more and travel deeper. I physically experienced how powerful this can be, and I believe.”
— Rob O, Didsbury, AB
“I have taken big steps to a new spiritual enlightenment and know that I am on the right path for me!”
— Jill E, Newcastle, ON
“From the moment I walked in the door, I felt surrounded by love, trust and excitement. These feelings only grew stronger throughout the next two days. I made friendships on a level I’d never felt before and learned to gain trust in myself. Through tears, laughter, confusion and acceptance I can truly say this was a life altering experience that will remain with me wherever I go. I learned more about myself than I could have ever imagined”
— Ashley E, Calgary, AB
“One of the best experiences of my life. I felt things I cannot explain, and I truly feel a sense of hope, amazement and harmony leaving here. I am forever changed and have a new approach to life”
— Kylee M, Sylvan Lake, AB
Your Questions, Answered
-
No. You can arrive completely new to Reiki. The weekend begins with the foundations, so you do not need to know the terminology, symbols, hand positions or history before you come. If you have taken Reiki previously but still do not feel confident, you are welcome too.
-
Your Reiki Level 1 & 2 training takes place in my home studio in southeast Calgary. To protect personal privacy, the exact street address and parking instructions will be emailed to you once your registration is confirmed.
-
You’ll do both. We’ll spend time building a strong understanding of Reiki, its history, principles and how the practice works, and then you’ll have plenty of opportunity to experience it for yourself. You’ll practice with other students, receive Reiki in return, ask questions as they come up, and learn by doing rather than just listening.
-
Absolutely not. There is no pop quiz or final exam here. You are learning a new practice. You will leave with a manual, handouts and reference tools so you know where to find the information you need while your confidence and familiarity grow through practice.
-
You can learn Reiki entirely for yourself. Some people use Reiki for their own personal practice or with friends and family. Others eventually build a professional practice or continue into Master/Teacher training.
There is no expectation that you turn Reiki into a business. You get to decide what role Reiki has in your life.
-
Yes. Follow-up questions are always welcome. If you need deeper, individualized support, Reiki mentoring is available. You are also invited to attend the free monthly Reiki Shares, where Reiki-attuned practitioners come together to practice, receive Reiki, ask questions and continue learning.
-
You are welcome here. Some students come to Reiki in the Rockies because they have already completed Reiki training online, or with another Teacher, and still feel uncertain about hand positions, symbols, session flow or simply trusting themselves. You do not have to pretend you know more than you do. We start where you are.
-
No. Reiki can be practiced with no touch. Consent and personal boundaries are part of the training, and you are always welcome to communicate what feels comfortable for you.
-
No. I do not teach Reiki practitioners to see themselves as healers.
In the Usui Reiki tradition I teach, the practitioner is a channel or conduit for Reiki energy. You are not the one doing the healing. Reiki is.
Your role is not to be the healer of the person on the table. Your role is to create the space for their own healing to happen if they choose. You provide a supportive space, practice Reiki with clear intention, and allow the person receiving Reiki to have their own experience.
-
Of course!
Floki is part of Reiki in the Rockies as my CFO (Chief Furry Officer) and Energy Director. He attends all trainings, shares, classes and sessions.
